About Our Program
Our low cost spay/neuter program was created to help save lives and prevent
the births of unwanted kittens. We assist pet owners and caretakers with genuine financial needs.
How Our Program Works
Four Legged Life Savers, Inc works with T.E.A.M., Connecticut's mobile feline unit who has reduced
prices for those who cannot otherwise afford to have their pets or strays spayed or neutered.
Pet owners and caretakers must complete an application for assistance. Once an application is
approved, the applicant will be contacted and asked to pay an amount they can comfortably afford. (This payment
goes back into the program to help us purchase more certificate). The applicant will then recieve an appointment along
with a certificate. This certificate is redemable only through T.E.A.M.
Costs
The cost for a spay/neuter surgery is $57.00. With surgery, each cat recieves a brief exam, vaccinations
(rabies, distemper, upper/lower respiratory infection), nail trim and ear mite treatment (if needed).
T.E.A.M.
"TEAM is on the road at least five days weekly. The clinic parks for the
day at one of TEAM’s many host sites throughout Connecticut. Cats arrive in the morning for check-in and surgery is
performed on the vehicle in a state-of-the-art environment. Cats are discharged the same day and caretakers receive simple,
post-surgical instructions. TEAM has a 24-hour hotline and a veterinarian on-call."
